Oil, Acrylic and Pigment on Cotton

I am perplexed by the profound disconnection between humanity and our planet. We seem to have lost touch with the earth, severing the deep, intrinsic bonds that once defined our existence. My work is an exploration of this fracture, an inquiry into how we might mend our relationship with the environment. I invite you to engage in this conversation. Do you feel this disconnection too? It seems as though we all inherently belong to this world, yet we've distanced ourselves from the very source of our life. We are in desperate need of a nurturing force—a mother—to help us heal the traumas we’ve accumulated through this disconnection. My obsession lies in the psychology of collective thinking, in how our shared beliefs and actions shape our world. Yet, I am equally fascinated by the individual, by the personal experiences and emotions that define each of us. I am curious, hurt, hopeful, and doubtful. Despite our differences, I believe we share a common thread, a connection that can be rediscovered if we dig deep enough. Through my art, I seek to rekindle this bond, urging others to reflect on their relationship with the earth and with one another.
My process is an intimate one. It begins with a collage, collected personal images, which forms the basis of my composition I’m drawn to the creamy, calm nature of oil paints, relishing how natural mediums can alter their consistency. Music fills my studio as I work, and I constantly adjust the blinds to play with the shifting afternoon light. When I paint, I immerse myself in a highly sensitive emotional state, one that I feel intensely in my chest, with nostalgia as a constant companion. My paintings are somewhat planned, but I always leave room for expressive rebellion.
